Lori Vande Krol is a productivity consultant in the United States. She is also the founder of productivity consulting company ’Life Made Simple’ and helps many US SMEs to get organised and boost productivity. Lori was interviewed in our Doodle Productivity Book and here she answers 3 quick questions on productivity.
Lori, you are a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Organizers, what is your role there?
In my role as a board member, I am involved in quite a few projects relating to research and statistics for our industry. As a productivity consultant I cover a variety of businesses, for example my current clients include a restaurant chain, a dental office and residential contractors. Therefore I have a good insight into what productivity improvements can deliver for a good range of businesses.
Which apps or productivity tools do you use as a productivity consultant?
I use a number of basic systems almost daily and quite frankly I couldn’t live without them. These include my Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner, Office 365 and PBworks. I also use a few apps that have made my life simpler and also support my clients: TripLog, Doodle, Toggl, Pocket, Snagit and Zapier and of course my all-time favorite Google Maps to name a few.
You are one of the few interviewees in our Productivity Book that rate themselves most productive after lunch or late at night. How come?
The truth is that I am some kind of a late riser and definetely not a morning person. I actually found out about myself that I am most productive just after lunch and late at night, especially when my children are in bed.
